Crafting Visual Narratives That Resonate
Transforming complex ideas into compelling visual stories through strategic art direction, editorial design, and immersive visual experiences that captivate and endure.
About My Practice
With over eight years of experience in visual communication, I specialize in creating editorial systems and art direction that elevate brand narratives. My approach blends conceptual rigor with meticulous craftsmanship to deliver meaningful visual experiences across print and digital platforms.
I believe design should serve as a bridge between complex information and human understanding. My process begins with deep research and strategic thinking, ensuring every visual decision—from typography to color palettes—supports the core narrative and resonates with the intended audience.

Editorial Covers Collection
Award-winning magazine covers for cultural publications
Context: Commissioned by leading cultural magazines to create covers that capture complex societal themes through visual metaphor.
Objective: Develop a series of covers that stand out on newsstands while communicating nuanced editorial perspectives through minimalist visual language.
Approach: Each cover began with deep editorial collaboration to distill the core narrative into a single powerful image. I employed typographic experimentation and conceptual photography to create visual metaphors that invite deeper engagement.
Visual Decisions: Utilized a restrained color palette with strategic accent colors to create visual hierarchy. Custom lettering and strategic negative space guided the viewer's eye while maintaining elegance and impact.
Outcome: The series received multiple awards including Society of Publication Designers Gold Medal and was featured in Communication Arts. Covers increased newsstand sales by an average of 22% and significantly boosted digital engagement.
Real Gangsters
Book design and art direction for photographic essay
Context: A photographic essay exploring identity and community in urban landscapes, published by Gestalten.
Objective: Create a book design that honors the raw authenticity of the photography while providing a thoughtful framework for the complex narratives within.
Approach: Developed a modular grid system that allows photographs to breathe while maintaining strong narrative flow. Typography choices balance readability with expressive chapter openings that set the tone for each section.
Visual Decisions: Chose a warm, uncoated paper stock to complement the gritty photography. Used a two-color printing process (black and deep crimson) to create visual rhythm and highlight key thematic elements throughout the book.
Outcome: The book received critical acclaim for its sensitive handling of the subject matter and was featured in Print Magazine's Design Annual. It has become a reference for contemporary documentary book design.
Nike AirMax1 Campaign
Integrated campaign art direction for 35th anniversary
Context: Celebrating the 35th anniversary of Nike's iconic Air Max 1 silhouette with a global integrated campaign.
Objective: Create a visual system that honors the shoe's heritage while reimagining it for contemporary audiences across digital, print, and environmental applications.
Approach: Developed a dynamic visual language inspired by the visible air technology, using fluid shapes and motion to represent innovation and movement. Collaborated with photographers and motion designers to create a cohesive system adaptable to multiple formats.
Visual Decisions: Created a custom variable font that responds to motion and interaction. Used a vibrant color palette inspired by original Air Max colorways, with strategic use of negative space to highlight product details.
Outcome: The campaign launched across 18 global markets, generating over 2 billion impressions. The visual system was extended to in-store experiences, social media filters, and limited edition packaging that sold out within hours of release.
Personal Brand Avatar
Dynamic identity system for tech entrepreneur
Context: A comprehensive brand identity for a tech entrepreneur launching a new venture in the AI space.
Objective: Develop a flexible visual system that conveys innovation and human-centric values while adapting seamlessly across digital platforms, presentations, and physical environments.
Approach: Created a generative logo system that responds to user interaction and environmental context. Developed a comprehensive design language including custom patterns, motion principles, and a flexible grid system for all communications.
Visual Decisions: Designed a modular logo that can reconfigure based on context while maintaining core recognition. Selected a sophisticated color palette with deep blues and warm neutrals to convey trust and innovation. Created custom data visualization templates that maintain brand consistency.
Outcome: The identity system successfully launched with the company's debut, receiving praise for its innovative approach. The system has scaled across 12+ countries and adapted to everything from app interfaces to large-scale environmental installations at tech conferences.
